REAL INDUSTRY IS A BRIDGE BETWEEN ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRY
FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, University FACULTY, AND COMPANIES.

Where it All Began

USRCA was founded in 2013 by Errol Arkilic, one of the founders of the NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps). USRCA was created to increase the impact of research by supporting the translation of the research into products and services that benefit society.

In 2014, Jay LeBoeuf became Executive Director of USRCA, expanded its mission to provide industry education to students, and founded the Real Industry program. Jay is a technology executive, entrepreneur, and adjunct lecturer at Stanford University. He has experience in business and technology roles, a rich network of industry connections, and has catalyzed a volunteer network from the leading companies in the media and entertainment technology space.
