Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative Mentorship Application

WE NEED YOU!

SIGN UP TO MENTOR A STUDENT TODAY.

Thank you for your interest in applying to be a mentor for our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative! Our initiative will work to increase the number of women and underrepresented students discovering and entering these industries. We believe this will expand our student reach and increase the diversity of experiences, knowledge, and skills in the art and technology industries.

We began in Fall 2019 with 2 universities, University of Hartford and Cal State University. We will kick off 2020 with 4 more schools: Loyola University New Orleans, Spelman College, University of California, Riverside, and Wayne State University. Students will receive a 4-week micro-internship that prepare students for careers in product management, design, software engineering, marketing and more. Under the guidance of a mentor from industry, students will work with them on a project they can use as a portfolio piece (see example from this past Fall). This program aims to provide students with 3 critical, measurable keys to career success: inspiration, access and experience.

Our plan is to scale the program to support over 5,000 students at 54 universities by empowering faculty and campus staff to be our campus leaders and coordinating our network of 400+ industry mentors. Our goals are ambitious and that is why we are turning to leaders within industry to become mentors of our DEI initiative. Check out our DEI Initiative for more details!
