The resume is the single-most important tool a student has to share their experiences and accomplishments. Key words on the resume must make it behind algorithms and bots that will screen you out if you don’t have all the right words a job description might require. But, what differentiates you when you get into a stack of hundreds of resumes? A video CV. This week students will create a video CV that enhances their resume and LinkedIn profile from all the others. Students will storyboard, script, rehearse and produce a high-quality video CV that prominently features experiences and attributes that demonstrate your emotional intelligence.
You’ll present your work to mentors on Friday at An Hour of Mentorship for their honest, yet gentle feedback, so that you can finetune your approach. Top off the week once again meeting with BOLD mentors from Week 1: BOLD Challenge who will take you through a mock interview for your dream job to make sure you demonstrate high EQ.
