Real Industry Creative Technology Challenge @ SFSU Resources


BACKGROUND

We want to empower you to explore a topic or issue experienced near your campus or in your city. Participants in the challenge will create an AR or VR experience that narrates what’s going on. You can think as big as climate change and its effects in your area or as narrow as an issue in a smaller community of which you are a part. We’re going to use alternate realities to increase empathy and bring viewers closer to the epicenter.

THE CHALLENGE: Create an AR/VR experience to raise awareness of a local cause.

Students should work in teams to bring awareness of a local cause or issue that their team is passionate about.

Students may work in teams (up to 5 people max) to ideate, design, and create on any platform.

Kick-off event: Thursday, April 4th, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM PT

Mentor session: Monday, April 15th, 3 PM - 4 PM PT
Submissions due: Thursday, April 25th, 2 PM - 4 PM PT
