Universal Audio / Stanford Creative Audio Challenge

Challenge Resources

Submit your final project by 11:59 pm PT on Oct 21.

Upload the following content to this Dropbox file request folder:

  1. A text file (txt, PDF, Word) containing the names and email addresses of your team members. (max 4)

  2. An audio file (MP3, WAV, etc) of your final creation.

In partnership with Universal Audio, you will get a unique opportunity to record, mix, and produce exclusive music tracks. Student teams have two weeks to work with professionally recorded audio tracks to create mix or remix based on the raw tracks using Universal Audio plugins.

Each submission will be evaluated by a panel of audio and technical engineers from Universal Audio and judged on creativity, innovation, and transformation. Teams (maximum of FIVE students) must work together to achieve a unique sonic masterpiece.

All members of the winning team will be awarded an Apollo Twin ($899), along with 3 premium Universal Audio plug-ins. The winning team will be invited to Universal Audio for a tour and lunch with the judging panel.

As a result of this challenge, you will have created a music mix to showcase your skills, gained a better understanding of how to design, mix and critique music and audio experiences, and final assets of your project that are ready for your portfolios.

SIgnup for the SLACK CHANNEL

  • All support will be supported in our Slack Channel. To be added to the Slack Channel, please email Liz at etalley@uaudio.com.

  • You’ll be able to see questions asked by your peers and get quick responses to your own questions.

  • Downloadable assets can be found on the Slack channel.

  • We distributed thumb drives at the kick-off to each team that includes the session files, as well as Console. We will also pin these to the Slack channel so students without a thumb drive can still download.
